Do I need an account to try Spacefighter?
Spacefighter offers Play as Guest on its sign-in screen. You can also create an account or log in to an existing one, then choose your faction and deployment destination.
How do you fly in Spacefighter?
Steer with the mouse and use the keyboard to control speed and maneuvers. These default controls give you the essentials for your first flight:
- Fire with the left mouse button or Space. Use the right mouse button to charge and fire a missile.
- Use W and S to adjust throttle, and A and D to bank.
- Hold Shift to boost or Ctrl to brake. Z performs a barrel roll, X a U-turn and C a somersault.
Start by practicing turns and braking before combining them with firing. Open the zone map with M to orient yourself, and check the mission hub for your next objective.

Yes. Spacefighter is an online multiplayer space combat game. Its deployment screen lets you choose a zone, and the game includes social and chat features.
Can I customize my ship?
Yes. Open the hangar to manage your ship loadout. Spacefighter also includes missions and equipment progression, giving you goals beyond learning to fly.
Where can I find the current controls?
Open Settings in the game to review and change control bindings. The keyboard controls on this page are the defaults; your saved bindings may be different.
